Philip and Tamara Building House

Suzette Lands New Teaching Job!

Here is a photo of a house just like ours will be. Same layout, brick color, siding, and front.  They will start building in May and we'll probably be moving in late July (click to enlarge the picture).  Hope to see everyone soon (we're planning on frequenting our haunts in Tulsa and KC in late May).

Ours is the "b" elevation. We are building the extra bedroom instead of a gameroom (basically adds a wall and a closet) and in the master bath we opted for the separate shower and garden tub. It has a nice fenced back yard and backs up to a large open space owned by the power company - a perfect spot for playing football or tag. We are one block from the elementary school where Nathaniel will go to school. It has a nice playground and basketball court. We are only a few miles from church and Tamara's siblings' and parents' houses. Philip will be closer to his work and Tamara is going agency so she will be traveling to many different hospitals in the Metroplex. We are near the highway, so it shouldn't be too far. We will also be right next to Tamara's favorite kid's consignment shop (never pay retail!). We can't wait to start getting visitors. You'll all have to hurry before we start fillin' the house up with chillun's.

Please pray with us that the financing and building of the house goes smoothly. Also, anyone in the area is invited to come and bless the house by writing Scriptures on the studs and floors. A bonus once we are in the house, Nathaniel may finally be getting the "woof woof" he so desperately wants. Tamara's friend Julie's parents have a wonderful little house trained Shitzu that they are considering giving to a nice family. We think this would be a good way to get Tamara to like pets. A small friendly one. And he's used to being around little kids so that's a plus. Funny thing is, the dog's name is Gabriel. Which is what we called Nathaniel the entire pregnancy. So, I guess we can scratch that name from the list. You can't really tell your kid, "we love you so much we named you after the dog."

Here's an aerial shot of Philip and Tamara's house -- brought to you by EarthViewer:  If you look close you can see Nate playing in the street.  Just kidding. :-)

Suzette received a new job at Forest Park Elementary.  She will be teaching fourth grade. Her commute will be 12 miles round trip as opposed to her 60 mile round trip she did with her previous job.  This will give her more time with her family and her career.  Thanks to all for the prayers and thoughts!!

UPDATE:  Already Suzette is getting attention at her new job:

Suzette and her fifth grade class entered a national radio show contest. You had to write the reasons why your classroom should be adopted and given free stuff. Well.............. we won!! If you go to steveanddc.com and click on Adopt a classroom you will see my wish list of all the things i want/need for my classroom. We will find out December 6 what items will be donated to our classroom. This is truly one of the best moments of teaching!!!!!
